Your Wedding Photo Album
The sparkling glitters have settled, the tux is returned, the wedding is over, now what? The most important part begins as you decide how to design your forever. Designing your album is a process that can be overwhelming and exhausting as well as satisfying and enjoyable. This is the most important part of the whole wedding process as the albums are the “forever”. They will be shared with family and friends and should tell the story of your day. Here at Park Avenue Studios, we offer album design sessions.
We ask our couples to come in to design their album on the first viewing of the images. This ensures that you are making your decisions based on emotion and that is a great way to have an album that allows you to really relive the most amazing day of your life over and over again. We will assist you in designing the perfect album that captures every important moment of your day.
Capturing The Perfect Wedding Moments
To design the best album and tell your story, there are specific mini-events that should be represented.
The ceremony, as it was the main reason for the day, will be one of the larger parts of your album. The ceremony included a professional of your entire bridal party as well as the entrance of the bride/groom. Although some will argue that it is not necessary to have everyone walking down the aisle, this is one of the only opportunities you have to remember your full bridal party, the pairings and the order of who stood by your side.
In addition, the ceremony has many important parts. The vows, the exchange of rings, and the infamous kiss. The kiss may even get more than one shot in the book. Each couple designs their ceremony individually so there may be important speakers or even Unity ceremonies that should be represented.
The hardest part of the album to work on is the formal family shots. You want to have all the important people who were there to support you represented in your album. When looking back through your album in 5, 10, 20 years, it will be enjoyable to see all those happy familiar faces! This section should be a perfect balance between your two families coming together and have equal representation of each side.
The reception has many “mini moments”, including:
- Your entrance
- First dance
- The speeches
- Any traditions that you incorporated
- Cake cutting ceremony
- Parent dances
- The garter/bouquet toss to close out the night.
Each of these events should make the cut into the album, if you wanted them included in your day then they should be remembered in your album. To accurately tell the story of your day and to portray the true emotion and happiness of the moment it is important to really consider how the album will be the lasting moment and true time capsule of your wedding day.
