To see or not to see. Although weddings are traditional to the core, there are many aspects that are being modernized. The first reveal or “first look” is becoming more common than it ever was and it is adding to the intimacy of the day. There are many benefits to having a first look prior to your ceremony. Popularity has grown as many more couples are choosing to get married at their venue site rather than a traditional setting. Having a first-look allows the couple an intimate moment prior to the chaos and craziness that all wedding days include.
During the first reveal, the couple will have a private moment to see each other and truly be present at the moment. What many people don’t realize is the moment that your partner is supposed to be seeing you come down the aisle, the view is blocked by your guests whose excitement to capture the procession leads them to stand in the aisle. They don’t realize that they are taking away from the moment. And you really can’t be mad at Nana!!
In addition to having a truly private moment, (I mean we are there too, but we promise to make it romantic!) you will be able to take all of your pictures before the ceremony. This allows you to truly be present during your reception and allows us to really capture the excitement of the day through a photojournalistic perspective without being obtrusive! All couples need to discuss the vision for their day together, but the first reveal is definitely something to consider!
